VANC is a core member of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) providing community re-entry residential neurorehabiltation services for active duty military, dependents and veterans with acquired brain injury. The DVBIC is a federally mandated program whose mission is to provide cutting edge rehabilitation, and translational research relevant to the United States Military. The DVBIC is a unique disease management system that is guided by the principle that we must learn as we treat.
Our Mission
Virginia NeuroCare is committed to improving the lives of both civilians and military personnel, including active duty, veterans, and dependents, with acquired brain injury or other neurological injuries, by developing innovative client-centered and community-based rehabilitation programs that maximize functional independence and facilitate re-entry into family and community life. Our interdisciplinary team strives to prevent acquired brain injury by increasing public awareness through education.
