VaNC is a non-profit organization providing rehabilitation to individuals with BRAIN INJURY, STROKE,
ANOXIA, BRAIN CANCER and other neurological diseases.
VANC is affiliated with:
- Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
- University of Virginia, Department of Psychiatry/Neuropsychology
- National Brain Injury Research, Treatment and Training Foundation
- Department of Defense and Veterans Head Injury Program
VANC is a core member of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) providing community
re-entry residential neurorehabiltation services for active duty military, dependents and veterans
with acquired brain injury. The DVBIC is a federally mandated program whose mission is to provide
cutting edge rehabilitation, and translational research relevant to the United States Military.
The DVBIC is a unique disease management system that is guided by the principle that we must
learn as we treat.
